SEC Bowling. Winner/Loser picks.

10 SEC schools are going bowling this year.

Ole Miss vs Georgia Tech
Mississippi State vs Rice
Texas A&M vs Duke
Georgia vs Nebraska
LSU vs Iowa
South Carolina vs Wisconsin
Alabama vs Oklahoma
Missouri vs Oklahoma State
Vanderbilt vs Houston
Auburn vs Florida State

Which one(s) do you think will lose their bowl game?

I think MSU, A&M, and LSU should have the easiest time, and I’d never bet against Bama in a bowl. The rest should be really good games.

I’m most concerned about the Ole Miss and Auburn games.

You just don’t know how well the defense can handle the GT option offense and that puts the Ole Miss game in question in my mind. If they can handle it then it should be a really good day for UM, other wise, watch out, it’s gonna be a shoot out.

After the SEC championship game, I have no idea how Auburn’s defense will do versus the FSU offense. FSU has one of(if not THE) best offenses out there, and is a really well rounded team. Will the SEC domination be coming to an end, or will the SEC secure forever the last 8 wins of the BCS era?

SEC BOWLS

Below are all the bowls that SEC schools are involved in plus the Southern Miss game. I figure these are what would interest most of my readers. As a SEC homer, I of course, pick the SEC to win all of them. I am not pleased that there will be 3 SEC bowl games broadcast at the exact same time on Jan. 2nd. NOT COOL!

As an aside I’d like to apologize to Southern and it’s fans now for tweeting SMU twice, when I actually meant USM this past weekend.

Looking over the bowls, I think they will all be good games. I don’t see anything that stands out to me as a potential blowout. Even our weaker teams seem to be pared up with about the same strength opponent. I’m really looking forward to some of these games. I think the Ark-K State game could be a really good game and it’s always fun to watch the SEC and the Big 10 match-up.

For the record I would have rather had LSU play Oklahoma State in the championship game. Alabama got their chance and lost, plus OK State beat a lot of decent opponents, when you compare them to Alabama. In the end though, it’s the voters that chose to have the rematch, and that is what we are going to get. I really enjoyed the game earlier this year, and I’m sure I will enjoy the Championship game on the 9th. I just hope the rest of the country wants to watch the rematch and enjoys a defensive struggle as much as I do.
